SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector, has an opportunity available for a Supply Chain Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. This will be a temporary position.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

B-degree in Commerce and honours degree
Ideal Logistics and Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 8)
Minimum of 8 years Supply Chain/Logistics management experience in public service or schedule 3a entity.
Experience in purchasing function; policy development; compliance with statutory requirement; budgeting
8-10 years Supply Chain experience with at least 5 years as a Supply Chain Manager
Development of supply chain policies and procedures
Advanced Locus
Excel and Word

KPAs:

Manage team performance to ensure targets & objectives are met
Build capability & capacity to meet changing organisational requirements
Ensure adherence to all financial, procurement processes & procedures
Consolidation/management of strategic contracts and orders to realise economies of scale (to realise annual savings)
Calculate all supply chain costs related to new projects to ensure adherence to project budgeting for the annual period
Establish collaborative partnerships
Preparation of a procurement plan
Oversee the development and utilisation of a supplier database
Approve prepared tender documents to ensure that all requirements for the project are clearly scoped and indicated also taking into account accurate budget indications and timelines
Maintain ISO Certification and Compliance
Monthly reporting
