Supply Chain Manager

SUMMARY:
Opportunity for Supply Chain Manager. with established role-player in the medical diagnostic distribution market. Role responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity and minimize the operational cost.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions
• Build and maintain good relationships with logistics suppliers
• Select, approve and manage all third-party suppliers used for freight, clearing and distribution
• Ensure customs compliance for import and export of products
• Maintain import and export company licence
• Proactively liaise with freight forwarding companies on a regular basis regarding changes in the customs act and the impact or potential impact of legislation changes on the company
• Update knowledge on customs act and act as in-house Customs Compliance Officer
• Manage outbound and inbound operations
• Stock management: ensure that all obsolete and expired stock is written off according to the correct procedure. Ensure the correct disposal of obsolete and expired stock
• Analyse the last three months of sales and update min max levels every quarter in consultation with the Business Unit Manager
• Review and investigate all customer credit note requests
• Responsible for NAPPI and Bar Codes
• Improve warehouse operations through the use of lean and just-in-time practices
• Manage cycle counts in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Suitable post matric qualification required.
• Knowledge of Pastel, imports and exports, supply chain, distribution and warehouse management.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, ISO and especially ISO13485 is preferred.
• Require 5-7 years supply chain management experience.
• Must be adept in the use of Pastel, Excel and Word.
