SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking an energetic and motivated Supply Chain Specialist to support the Country Supply Planner in tasks relating to the execution of Demand Plans, enabling the commercial teams to meet sales objectives in South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
At least 5 years’ experience in a supply chain environment will be required
Must be computer literate with SAP knowledge
Exposure to the Agrochemical industry will be an added advantage

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Executing replenishment plans to ensure optimal inventory at distribution centres, customers and in channel, aligned with the respective sales and supply plan strategies and production campaigns.
Preparing a supply plan based on external sales forecasts and coordinating the supply plan objectives with Site Logistics to ensure secured supply according to demand.
Reporting weekly product availability to relevant stakeholders.
Executing intercompany purchases and stock transfers for finished goods and coordinating deliveries for on time replenishment of local distribution centres.
Managing shortages with the Demand Planner.
Providing feedback on spot orders and checking the ability to supply.
Performing local inventory management, reporting slow movers and following up on actions to reduce slow movers and minimize stock redundancies.
Confirming material availability within SAP, including purchase orders, delivery dates, and mode of transport as negotiated between Country Supply Planning Managers and Production Planners.
Coordinating buy-back orders and returns from the country distribution centre to site.
Coordinating movement of finished goods between distribution centres.
Preparing inputs/outputs for Country Sales and Operational Executional Planning meetings and providing relevant feedback to stakeholders.
Providing relevant in- and output for Weekly Sales and Operational Executional Planning to facilitate increased agility and data-based decision making.
Managing complaints and raising claims with insurance or relevant parties if consignments are damaged, short shipped or lost.
