SUMMARY:

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Tax Compliance Associate to support a busy tax and accounting department. This role involves assisting with SARS-related processes, tax returns, client administration, and compliance support.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in tax compliance and gain exposure to practical SARS processes in a professional environment.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS:

Degree/Diploma in accounting or business, or approved certificate in accounting;
1â3 yearsâ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax administration
Basic understanding of income tax and VAT principles
Exposure to SARS eFiling systems advantageous
Accounting or business qualification (or studying towards)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication and administrative skills
Valid Driverâs License with own transport advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with preparation of individual and business tax returns
Prepare tax working papers and supporting documentation
Support SARS eFiling processes, submissions, and registrations
Assist with tax queries, objections, and administrative correspondence
Liaise with SARS on standard client matters and follow-ups
Maintain accurate tax records and client databases
Assist with compliance tracking and reporting dashboards
Support general tax administration and office processes
