A leading financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Tax Technical Specialist to join their Johannesburg team.

Job Description:

Conduct research on international tax laws and treaties relevant to cross-border investment income.
Stay up to date with global tax developments and apply updates to internal processes.
Work with internal teams and external advisors to support technical aspects of tax reclaims.
Assist in the preparation and review of documentation to support tax claims.
Identify process improvements and contribute to new service initiatives.
Support clients with technical guidance related to withholding tax recovery.
Assist in handling technical tax authority queries and correspondence.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Honours degree in Accounting, Taxation, Law, Finance, or a related field.
Master's in Taxation is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of international taxation, particularly double tax treaties and EU tax frameworks.
3 to 6 years in a technical tax role.
