A large company in the Insurance sector based in Gauteng is looking for a technical accountant to join their team. The company is growth centric and invests in the career development of their employees. The ideal candidate is a qualified individual with experience using IFRS 17 and ambition to grow and develop within a big corporate company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Provide technical guidance for the group on application of IFRS 17

Assist with the implementation of IFRS 17

Responsible for development of communication and training to relevant internal and external stakeholders
Review of group financial statements for compliance with IFRS

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric
BCom/ BCom Honours
Qualified CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed articles in the big 4 audit firms
Current and previous experience in the insurance industry
IFRS 17 Implementation
Experience using MS Excel in an advanced level

Skills & Competencies:

Meticulous
Negotiation skills
Analytical skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
