Duties:

Working closely with IFRS 17 specialist and group to ensure that IFRS 17 implementation project in terms of standard
Prepare SAM quarterly and annual returns
Prepare annual financial statements on an IFRS basis
Support portfolio accountants with technical queries
Preparation and approval of payment instructions

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom honours in accounting
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed Articles
2/3 Post articles experience within the insurance industry
Basic understanding of IFRS 17
General understanding of industry, statutory guidelines, and insurance law

Skills & Competencies:

Sound communication skills
Sound analytical skills
Attention to detail
Collaboration within the team
