SUMMARY:
Job Title: Technical Manager

Job Overview:
To provide technical leadership and support for mining products, ensuring equipment reliability,operational excellence, continuous improvement, and achievement of business performance targets through effective collaboration with supervisory teams, customers, and manufacturing facilities.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant degree or diploma + trade test (in relevant trade).
• Minimum 15 years related experience and/or training related to the GET business. Preferably OEM experience in a middle to senior management role.
• MS Office – Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. MS Projects and Excel.
• Pass and maintain mine medical fitness test.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment maintenance, diagnostics and technical support processes.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Valid driver’s licence (car / feul allowance).

• Provide technical support across all mining products, ensuring high levels of equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that PIR and PAR data are comprehensive, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
• Support TSA and provide timely feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including Equipment Availability (EA), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), ensuring monthly targets are achieved.
• Conduct and oversee machine inspections, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and performance targets.
• Coordinate and manage new machine commissioning activities, ensuring all required data is accurately captured and reported.
• Lead and monitor the implementation of CSI initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure warranty-related KPIs are achieved through effective management of warranty claims, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between field operations and manufacturing facilities, facilitating communication, issue resolution, and product improvement initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement to support corporate performance and profitability objectives.
• Collaborate closely with supervisory and operational teams to achieve business goals, improve equipment performance and deliver exceptional customer support.
