Technical Services Manager (GCC Essential)

SUMMARY:
We are searching for a Technical Services Manager with a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) who understands that behind every successful healthcare facility is an exceptional engineering and maintenance operation.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned engineering leader to take ownership of critical infrastructure, facilities management, engineering compliance, and technical operations within a leading healthcare environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, standby power generation, medical gas installations, water systems, and building services.
• Drive preventative maintenance and asset management strategies.
• Manage infrastructure upgrades, refurbishments, and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, health and safety, and engineering regulations.
• Manage contractor performance, service level agreements, and technical budgets.
• Identify and mitigate operational and technical risks.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the facility.

Minimum Requirements

• GCC (Factories) – Essential.
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years' engineering and technical management experience within a complex operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of facilities management, engineering compliance, maintenance planning, and asset management.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors.
• Sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and engineering best practices.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
