Our client is a reputable and established organisation operating within a highly regulated mining environment, offering finance professionals exposure to complex reporting, strong governance, and technical excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) with a passion for IFRS and technical accounting to grow within a specialist reporting function as an Technical Reporting Accountant.

POSITION INFO:
Roles & Responsibilities

Report directly to the Financial Manager: Technical Reporting.
Prepare technical position papers on standards and regulations issued by accounting and regulatory bodies.
Prepare reports for the Audit and Risk Committee relating to technical accounting matters.
Perform calculations and analyses for complex accounting transactions.
Prepare SEC and CIPC XBRL tagging of financial statements in line with operational best practice, policies, and procedures.
Assist with technical guidance, training, and support to the reporting team and broader finance function.
Assist in the preparation of:

Quarterly and half-year financial reports.
Annual financial reports.
Statutory financial statements for group entities in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) qualification in good standing (non-negotiable).
1–3 years’ post-articles experience.
Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting background.
Demonstrated interest in technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; report writing is a critical component of the role.
Proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Excel and computer literate (MS Office).
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential).
