SUMMARY:
Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for a Technical Specialist to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

PLC troubleshooting, programming and panel build experience
Hands-on cryogenics experience (installations and road tankers)
Light and heavy current experience advantageous
Lean Manufacturing and Six-sigma experience would be advantageous
Green-belt qualification would be advantageous
Industrial engineering experience would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for data analysis, continuous improvement, training and technical operational support for all customer installations
Track and ensure the execution of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) outcome actions
Develop predictive models for live data parameters
Respond to technically challenging problem solving on customer sites
Liaise with key compressor, gas engine, trailer and electrical suppliers
Understand PLC programming and troubleshooting
Support with the design, costing, installation and commissioning of projects
Investigate alternative equipment applications and propose improvements for Operations (cylinders, trailers, compressors, gas engines, etc.)
Develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) tools and implement for operations
Provide regular training for Technicians and Operators on key technical issues related to the PRMS, compressors, trailers, Scada, etc
Develop training plans for each Technician and Operator
Manage and ensure adherence to the Management of Change (MOC) process
Provide final sign-off of projects to ensure that they adhere to standards
Develop reporting templates for Operations
Monitor key Operations KPIs and provide monthly reports
Stand-in for Manco team members when not available
