Technician - End User Computing – L2

SUMMARY:
Location: Illovo & Centurion
Duration: 12-Month Contract

Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced and customer-focused Technician – End User Computing (L2) to join a dynamic CSO team supporting operations across Gauteng, with primary responsibility in Illovo and standby support in Centurion.

The successful candidate will provide end-user computing support across hardware, software, peripherals, and connectivity environments while ensuring excellent service delivery within agreed SLA timelines. This role requires a proactive, professional individual who is confident engaging with executives and supporting complex desktop and end-user computing environments.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing (or equivalent practical experience)
• 6–10 years’ experience in Desktop Support / End User Computing environments
• Recent Microsoft certifications advantageous (Windows 11 and/or Office 365 preferred)
• ITIL V4 Foundation certification
• A+ and N+ certifications advantageous

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• SCCM support and desktop deployment experience
• Windows 11 deployment and management
• Office 365 deployment and administration
• Dell hardware support
• Mobile device management (iOS and Android)
• AWS and/or Azure exposure
• Apple device management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Security awareness and best practice understanding

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, peripherals, and connectivity issues
• Attend to and resolve incidents and service requests logged through the call management system
• Troubleshoot medium to high complexity technical issues
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and third-party support providers
• Support Microsoft operating systems, Office 365 environments, and Dell hardware
• Assist colleagues with remote support where required
• Perform daily site health checks and maintain accurate ticket updates
• Ensure all issues are logged and tracked appropriately within the ticketing system
• Work closely with network engineers on first-line network and connectivity troubleshooting
• Follow and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Stay updated with evolving technologies through self-study and certifications
