SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Transport Manager to join a fast-growing company in the food industry. This role offers the chance to take ownership of the distribution function - optimising routes, streamlining operations, and implementing effective systems and processes to create a world-class transport operation.

POSITION INFO:
We’re looking for an ambitious Transport Manager to take full ownership of the distribution function, shaping the department and refining processes to deliver operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Oversee fleet operations, maintenance, and driver performance to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Manage third-party transport providers and driver development programs.
Ensure accurate route sheets, invoicing, and daily pallet reconciliations.
Coordinate timely dispatch of orders and monitor warehouse readiness.
Maintain stock integrity and manage customer collections efficiently.
Track logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with food safety, fleet, and site procedures.
Implement sustainability, real-time tracking, and cost-efficiency measures.
Other relevant duties.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail distribution is advantageous.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
