JOB SUMMARY:
Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Maintain service providers Service Level Agreements and contracts with service providers and clients
  • Adjudicate claims as per insurance terms and conditions
  • Facilitate multiple care aspects (case coordination, information sharing, etc.)
  • Develop effective working relations and cooperate with medical team throughout the entire case management process
  • Take the extra mile and interact with patients to keep track of their progress and to ensure satisfaction
  • Record case information, complete accurately all necessary forms and produce statistical reports
  • Promote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes
  • Monitor assistance for incoming and outgoing calls for travel and funeral products
  • Provide assistance with all related services and logistical arrangement according to the prescribed procedures and protocols
  • Monitor medical evacuation process
  • Monitor repatriation of mortal remains
General
  • Recruiting, interviewing and orienting new staff members.
  • Monitoring and evaluating staff performance.
  • Managing a departmental budget and forecasting budgetary requirements.
  • Motivating and inspiring staff and facilitating personal growth.
  • Conducting / arranging training and seminars for continued skills improvement. Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations.
  • Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
  • Oversee FIAS representatives

Qualifications, Education and Experience
  • Matric
  • FAIS representative (RE 5)
  • Key Individual (RE 1)
  • Min 3 - 5 years supervisory experience
  • Insurance and Claims experience – required
Skills
  • Must be computer literate
  • Positive approach, compassionate with teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with Executives and Corporate Clients
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to interpret insurance policies
