Account Manager - Advertising (Marketplace Sponsored Product Ads) - Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Driving the adoption and usage of a leading e-commerce marketplace's self-service advertising platform for Sponsored Advertising by marketplace sellers. Analyse sales metrics and advertising data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide sellers with clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to optimise advertising performance. Build media plans for top-tier spending sellers and identify opportunities to upsell additional advertising solutions and services. Coordinate the collection of creative assets required for campaign development and execution. Manage the integration of all booked advertising campaigns into the marketing calendar, ensuring effective communication and on-time delivery. Oversee billing and payment processes to ensure accuracy and timely reconciliation. Monitor campaign performance through tracking and reporting, share results with clients, and maintain comprehensive campaign records. Consistently achieve and exceed advertising revenue and sales targets. Assist in the development of promotional materials and content to drive adoption of the advertising platform. Partner with Marketplace Account Managers to increase platform utilisation among key accounts and resolve advertiser challenges. Implement strategies to acquire and onboard new marketplace sellers. Gather seller feedback on the advertising platform and provide actionable insights to support ongoing enhancements. Collaborate with CRM and marketing teams to develop case studies, success stories, and retention initiatives. Contribute to the development and delivery of educational webinars focused on advertising performance, insights, and best practices. Escalate operational and technical platform issues to relevant teams to ensure timely resolution. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma If the degree\/diploma qualification requirement isn't met, at least 5 years of account management experience\/exposure (through projects or responsibilities) will be required 3 years of experience in B2B software or advertising sales (account management) Digital Marketing, Advertising and Sales experience (must have) E-Commerce experience is advantageous but not required Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets Strong track record of internal and external relationship management
