Our client, a well-established player in the engineering and electrical solutions space, is seeking a driven and commercially minded Accounting Manager to join their senior management team. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function within a division, working closely with the CEO and operational leaders to improve financial performance and ensure sound decision-making.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, from reporting and compliance to budgeting and forecasting, while also playing a key role in driving cost efficiencies and identifying growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

Full management of monthly financial reporting, including analysis of financial performance and balance sheet reviews
Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and CAPEX / OPEX tracking
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls, including audit processes
Driving profitability through cost control, financial insights, and strategic support to operational managers
Managing stakeholder relationships, including auditors, SARS, banks, and internal leadership
Leading and developing the finance team to ensure high performance and adherence to deadlines

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

BCom Accounting or related qualification (essential)

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a finance environment
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
Exposure to managing or mentoring staff will be advantageous

Skills:

Strong financial and business acumen
Solid understanding of tax, VAT, and audit processes
Experience working on ERP systems and advanced Excel
Ability to influence and partner with operational stakeholders
