Africa-Focused Sales Engineers — Can You Hunt, Not Just Take Orders?

POSITION INFO:
A specialist in valves and actuation solutions is looking for a driven Territory Sales Engineer to grow business across mining operations in French-speaking Africa.

This is not an order-taking role — it’s for a proactive, strategic sales professional who can identify opportunities, engage decision-makers, and drive deals from first contact through to close.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

3–5 years’ experience in technical sales
Proven exposure to mining environments (Africa experience advantageous)
Experience selling valves, actuators, or flow control solutions
Strong external sales / business development mindset
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel internationally

Job Experience & Skills Required

Identify and develop new business opportunities across the territory
Research target clients and engage key decision-makers
Drive the full sales process from prospecting to closing
Present tailored technical solutions aligned to customer needs
Manage and overcome sales blockers proactively
Build strong, long-term relationships within mining operations
French language ability will be advantageous.
