Brand Manager

SUMMARY:
The Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in driving profitable growth of brand/s with multiple categories within Small Domestic Appliances.

This role requires balancing consumer-centric brand building with strong commercial accountability. The Brand Manager is
expected to manage multiple brands/categories simultaneously, leveraging insights, innovation, and portfolio mix strategies to maximize category relevance and business performance. They act as the custodian of brand equity while also being directly accountable for P&L delivery, margin management, and portfolio optimization.

JOB PURPOSE:
To lead, grow, and manage brand/s by developing and executing strategies that build brand equity, win more consumers, and deliver sustainable commercial growth.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities: Commercial Leadership: Formulate, understand and execute on basic finance principals eg, P&L management, return on investment calculations, pricing as it pertains to margin and markups as well as price negotiations. Full P&L ownership for assigned brands, ensuring delivery of revenue, margin, and profitability targets. Drive margin management through pricing strategies, cost optimization, and portfolio mix decisions. Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency. Portfolio & Brand Strategy: Manage a brand\/s with a portfolio of categories, balancing resources and priorities to maximize overall business growth. Develop and execute brand strategies including Positioning, Pricing, Innovation, and Activation Plans. Drive pricing, mix optimisation, and cost management to enhance profitability Lead portfolio mix management to ensure optimal balance between premium, mainstream, and entry-level offerings. Consumer & Market Insights: Translate consumer insights and market analysis into actionable strategies. Anticipate emerging trends and competitive dynamics to maintain category leadership. Innovation & Renovation: Identify and deliver insight-driven innovation and renovation that grows volume, value, and profit. Manage and track innovation P&L Define product and packaging solutions, compelling consumer communication, and trade strategies that secure buy-in. With Key Account managers to align forecasts and plans Ensure successful launch from ideation to in market, presenting to Key Customers and tracking performance. Execution & Performance Tracking: Input into demand forecasting, media planning, customer promotion tracking, and marketing investment spend. Track brand health, market share, and profitability metrics to ensure delivery against KPIs. Agency & Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead creative agencies through Communication Strategy development and execution. Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Service, Supply Chain, and Sales to align brand and commercial objectives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related discipline. 5+ years of Brand Management experience in consumer goods, with proven results in: Managing multiple brand\/s and categories simultaneously. Direct P&L responsibility and margin optimization. Driving profitable growth through portfolio mix management. Strong analytical skills in financial and marketing data. Proficiency with MS Office and IT systems.
