A respected, family-owned organisation is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business. POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Partner with shareholders and executives to drive business strategy and growth. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Provide commercial and financial insights to support key business decisions. Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance. Support acquisitions, expansion projects, and strategic investments. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. Develop and monitor financial and operational performance metrics. Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and working capital. Drive cost optimisation and margin improvement initiatives. Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance standards. Oversee tax, statutory, and regulatory compliance requirements. Manage external audits and relationships with professional advisors. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Partner with operational teams to improve business performance. Provide financial guidance across multiple business units and locations. Evaluate business cases, investment opportunities, and growth initiatives. Lead and develop the finance function to support organisational objectives. Mentor and manage a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Act as a trusted advisor to shareholders, executives, and senior leadership. Skills & Experience: CA(SA) qualification - Essential. Minimum 10 years' post-articles experience in senior financial leadership roles. Proven track record of partnering with executive teams to drive business performance and growth. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic decision-making and operational execution. Experience within one or more of the following sectors is highly advantageous: Quick Service Restaurants (QSR). Franchise operations. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, cash flow management, financial controls, and governance. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Results-driven with a hands-on approach and a strong focus on continuous improvement. Qualification: Chartered Accountant CA(SA) qualification - Non-Negotiable.
