SUMMARY:
Role Overview:
A well-established manufacturing business in KZN is seeking a commercially astute Commercial Accountant to join their finance team.

This role is suited to a technically strong individual with solid management accounting and costing experience within a medium to large manufacturing or FMCG environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial insight, supporting budgeting processes, and contributing to informed business decision-making.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage monthly management accounts
Perform detailed costing analysis and maintain accurate cost models
Develop, update, and manage sales budgets across multiple SKUs
Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to the business
Partner with operations to understand cost drivers and improve efficiencies
Work extensively with large data sets using Excel
Identify trends, variances, and opportunities through financial analysis
Support forecasting and planning processes

Requirements:

BCom Accounting degree (essential)
CIMA qualification (minimum requirement)

BCom + CIMA preferred

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a cost accounting / management accounting role
Proven experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments
Strong experience working with high-volume SKUs and sales budgeting
Advanced Excel skills (essential)
SAP experience advantageous
