Continuous improvement Specialist - Lean Six Sigma

SUMMARY:

My client is seeking a Process Engineer:  Continuous Improvement / Subject Matter Expert (lean 6 sigma) to provide overall coordination, implementation and sustainability at site level, driving success through continuous improvements using lean practices.

POSITION INFO:

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or any related field
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing and or seed agricultural industry
• Experience in leading and developing teams
• Skilled at leading, managing conflict and negotiating with cross functional teams
• Demonstration of courage, candor and initiative skills
• Coaching/mentoring group facilitation skills
• Strong communication skills (written and oral – open, honest and persistent)
• Deliver results in a changing environment
• Problem solving skills

• The role will coordinate implementation and sustainability by working closely with the Site Leadership team
• Understanding of implementation methodology, lean content and change management approach to successfully sustain implementation on site
• Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in lean practices and facilitate the continuous improvement journey on site
• Review continuous improvement opportunities with Implementation Task Force (ITF) and Site Steering Committee (SSC) to be implemented to focus on full benefit of employees and business
• Lead best practices team and continuous improvements/best practices internally and externally (network)
• Ensure change management requirements are being addressed and coordinate change efforts to implement and sustain improvement
