SUMMARY:

My client is seeking a Process Engineer: Continuous Improvement / Subject Matter Expert (lean 6 sigma) to provide overall coordination, implementation and sustainability at site level, driving success through continuous improvements using lean practices.

POSITION INFO:

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or any related field
At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing and or seed agricultural industry
Experience in leading and developing teams
Skilled at leading, managing conflict and negotiating with cross functional teams
Demonstration of courage, candor and initiative skills
Coaching/mentoring group facilitation skills
Strong communication skills (written and oral – open, honest and persistent)
Deliver results in a changing environment
Problem solving skills

Responsibilities:

The role will coordinate implementation and sustainability by working closely with the Site Leadership team
Understanding of implementation methodology, lean content and change management approach to successfully sustain implementation on site
Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in lean practices and facilitate the continuous improvement journey on site
Review continuous improvement opportunities with Implementation Task Force (ITF) and Site Steering Committee (SSC) to be implemented to focus on full benefit of employees and business
Lead best practices team and continuous improvements/best practices internally and externally (network)
Ensure change management requirements are being addressed and coordinate change efforts to implement and sustain improvement
