JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Direct Tax Specialist
Location: Johannesburg North, Gauteng
Salary: R 800 000.00 - R 950 000.00 per annum

Company and Job Description:
This multinational brand in the Oil and Gas industry is expanding their team and they are looking for a Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join their team! This role will have 1 person reporting into them as well as provide support to other functions. This company is one of the biggest petroleum manufacturing entities in the world with many subsidiaries of which the incumbent will be responsible for. This opportunity will provide you the chance to work with a world class team as well as large names in the industry.

Job Description:

To ensure timeous and accurate preparation and completion of all tax returns.
Timeous and accurate reconciliation of all direct tax accounts, including deferred tax at year-end for accounting purposes and disclosure to the annual financial statements.
Risk management of direct tax related matters.
External, internal and SARS audits.
Perform cash flow forecast and prepare total tax contribution reports.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

BCom Accounting or Taxation is essential
Postgraduate in Taxation is highly beneficial
5-7 years’ experience in excise and customs tax
SAP experience is beneficial
Basic understanding of transfer pricing
