An equity-based investment platform that connects African venture capital opportunities to investors worldwide have an amazing opportunity for a Country Manager to join their team and work remotely in Kenya. Operating from your country, you will work with an experienced team in South Africa, within the Equity Crowd Funding space. If you are an entrepreneurial, energetic, optimistic person with strong networking skills, this job could be perfect for you!

Your key job responsibilities as the Country Manager in Kenya will include:

Levering your contacts within the local business community, you will source and identify new investment opportunities with a specific focus on businesses looking to raise capital to fund expansion activities, asset purchases or working capital.
Interact with the start-up eco system in your country – building relationships with incubators, accelerators, venture capital funds, start-up competitions, financial service companies that deal with early-stage businesses
Identify early-stage businesses that would be appropriate to list on the platform. In addition, you will assist with due diligence during the analysis phase of the investment review and support the onboarding process
You will conduct industry research, incorporating your findings in a sales plan which are key components to ensuring success in the position. The establishment and maintenance of relationships with key players will further support your success in the role

Requirements for this Country Manager job in Kenya:

Business Qualification in Financial Management or Accounting
An entrepreneurial, energetic, optimistic attitude with a strong work ethic
Outgoing personality and analytical skills
Experience in Business Development
Efficiency and completing projects are key
Articulate and strong written communication skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion and good judgement
Strong network within the eco system desirable
Strong networking abilities
