SUMMARY:
Deputy Director: Business Alignment (12 months contract)

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose:

To provide for a detail-oriented Enterprise Architectural services to assist in the alignment of ICT and business operations in the department. To integrate the department''s information applications and programs. This includes to improve the current IT systems, optimising business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. Also, to assist with ICT service cataloguing, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the department''s business and technology activities.

Key Performance Areas:

• Assist in evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements
• Assist in creating business architecture models to reflect the department''s strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals
• Assist in evaluating systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities
• Assist in suggesting ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
• Assist in organizing training to improve employees'' knowledge and skills for future departmental growth
• Assist in conducting research in talent management to improve the department''s ICT and business operations
• Assist to providing business architecture and systems processing guidance
• Assist in ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the department''s goals
• Assist to creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change management and control in ICT and business
• Assist in determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall ICT strategy
• Assist with management of ICT related projects, to ensure compliance to the relevant prescript
• Assist with system development in terms of coding using appropriate languages e.g. C/C+, Oracle/SQL, .Net, Perl, LISP, Ruby, Java, Python, MATLAB etc.
• Provide monthly activities reporting

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of a three-year Bachelor''s degree in ICT or related field
• Post-graduate qualification would be an added advantage
• Valid driver’ license and travel as required by business
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICT of which 3 to 4 is in a managerial position
• Experience in system architecture may be advantageous
• Experience in modeling and graphics presentations
• Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of the department’s critical information
