SUMMARY:
An established and growing group of companies is seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded Finance Director with strong operational experience to join their executive leadership team.

POSITION INFO:
This role is ideal for a qualified CA(SA) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining strategic finance with operational involvement across multiple business entities.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO and COO, the successful candidate will play a critical role in driving financial performance, improving operational efficiencies, and contributing to the long-term growth strategy of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across the group
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive management
Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for profitability improvement and cost optimisation
Oversee compliance, financial controls, and statutory reporting requirements
Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders
Evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and performance
Assist with investment decisions, financial due diligence, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a collaborative culture
Work closely with operational teams to improve workflows and resource allocation across the business

Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA)
Minimum 8 years’ finance experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a senior leadership role
Proven experience managing multiple business entities
Strong operational and commercial acumen
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Ability to travel when required
Experience with financial management systems and reporting tools
