POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
A leading manufacturing company with a long-standing presence in the steel industry is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cost controls, while working closely with operations. This is a senior position within a highly technical, high-volume environment, where strategic input on cash flow and financial sustainability will be key.

Responsibilities:

Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS standards
Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc.)
Lead external audit processes and maintain audit readiness
Drive cost control, margin management, and stock accuracy
Analyse product costing and support pricing strategies
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
Oversee credit control and debtor management
Lead and mentor a small finance team
Strengthen internal controls and ensure financial governance
Manage and optimize ERP system usage (Sage, Syspro, SAP, etc.)
Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

CA(SA) accreditation is essential
5-8 years post article experience in manufacturing is essential
Proven managerial experience
ERP and IFRS experience is essential
