Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
A leading property organization is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the full finance function across a dynamic and growing group of companies.

POSITION INFO:
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a leadership role and has a passion for driving financial excellence, implementing robust controls, and developing high-performing finance teams. Minimum Requirements CA(SA) qualification is essential. Proven MDA experience is essential. Minimum 5-7 years' experience leading the full finance function in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller capacity. Property industry experience is highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, governance, VAT and statutory compliance. Advanced Excel and financial systems experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the end-to-end finance function across multiple entities. Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines. Review journals, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and consolidated financial reports. Oversee treasury, cash flow management, VAT compliance, PAYE and statutory submissions. Manage annual audits, annual financial statements and regulatory reporting. Prepare board reporting, shareholder reporting, budgets and cash flow forecasts. Develop, implement and continuously improve finance policies, procedures and internal controls. Lead, mentor and develop Finance Managers, Financial Accountants and the Creditors team. Identify operational risks, strengthen governance and improve finance processes across the business.
