SUMMARY:
A leading organization within the Telecommunication industry is looking for a qualified CA(SA) to take up a role as a Head of Financial Accounting on a fixed term contract.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience:

CA(SA)
10 years’ experience (3 years senior management)
Telecommunications industry experience (beneficial)
SAP R3 ERP system (essential)
Staff management experience
Knowledge of IFRS, PFMA and Treasury regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Compilation of financial statements and regular finance reporting
Regular review and updating of financial policies and procedures
Maintenance of a reliable billing and revenue system, including debt collections.
Compilation of company tax returns
Maintenance of an effective system of internal controls for supplier payments and reconciliations
Maintenance of an effective system of internal controls and management of working capital
Review of potential investment and business opportunities
Liaising with the Department of Telecommunications, National Treasury and Auditor-General
Co-ordination of the external audit activities
Liaising with the Department of Telecommunications, National Treasury and Auditor-General
Review of potential investment and business opportunities
Training of employees on finance policies, procedures and regulations
Attending to ad-hoc requests
