JOB SUMMARY:
One of the leading JSE listed financial services companies is looking for a Head of Finance to manage their finance team at one of their biggest divisions. You will report directly to the CFO and oversee a team of about 25 people. My client needs a CA(SA) innovative thinker and problem solver who can develop new systems and procedures. You will be responsible for all financial information and related controls and engage with internal and external stakeholders regularly.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Oversee audits from start to finish
Managing a large team
Attending EXCO meetings
Financial reporting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric
BCom Accounting or equivalent
BCom Accounting Honours/CTA
Qualified CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed 3 years of articles (Big 4 or medium audit firm would be advantageous)
Exposure in a group reporting role
Implemented systems and procedures
Retail Investments or Asset Management knowledge will be a huge benefit
Experience in top management in a large financial services company

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of ERP systems
IFRS 17 knowledge
Confidence in leadership
Problem Solver
