JOB SUMMARY:
An all rounded; listed on JSE concern is looking for an energetic Head of Finance with an audit and IFRS background, who would be comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders across the African continent.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client is a large insurance group with a very diverse product and customer range, spanning across several continents and consistently winning several prestigious global awards.

As Head of Finance you will be responsible for:

Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
Approve or reject budgets
Conduct risk management
Evaluate and decide on investments
Supervise a team of Accountants
Allocate resources and manage cash flows
Conduct profit and cost analyses
Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
Recommend cost-reducing solutions
Taking overall responsibility for accurate and timely reporting to relevant stakeholders

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) with 7 years post experience
Audit/ IFRS background
Insurance industry advantageous
