JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a potential candidate to fill the position of Head of Finance. The individual would be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer in Retail Investments. With this role, the candidate would be able to develop and manage financial functions such as reporting and compliance functions to investments and savings. Our offices are based in Midrand. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Develop and maintain financial management policies, procedures, processes, and systems to promote efficiency within the financial sector
Develop an empowered employee and specialize in delegation and accountability
Provide support that would be required when making major changes to the communication function by acting as a change agent
Continuously strive to look for cost-saving initiatives that will be beneficial for business growth and profitability
Annual budget process should be managed, prepared, and presented

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (grade 12)
Honours in Accounting
CA (SA)

Experience:

Completed Articles
5 years’ experience in a similar role, financial sector
Experience in insurance accounting/tax would be beneficial
Management experience is vital

Skills & Competencies:

Must be accountable
Be able to budget and understand budget control
Decision making and problem solving
Understand risk and compliance
Be able to work in a team and be cooperative
