JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this role is to develop and manage a best practice framework for the Finance function, if this role sounds in line with your career progression reach out to

Duties:

Develop, plan for, implement and take accountability for the strategy and operating model of the Finance function, in execution of the Investments and Savings strategy.
Establish governance systems and take accountability for the effective implementation of corporate governance within the finance area.
Establish and take accountability for internal financial monitoring, reporting and auditing frameworks.
Ensure robust operational and tax processes are embedded in the business to adhere to all tax legislation.
Financial control.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare financial statements for each financial year and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements, regulations and standards.
Perform the tax calculations and returns of statutory entities.
Manage, prepare and present the annual budget process.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric
BCom/BCom Honours
Qualified CA(SA)

Experience:

CA (SA) with post articles experience: 5 years’ experience in a similar role, in the financial services sector.
Proficient with IFRS and corporate tax.
Experience in insurance accounting/tax will be beneficial.
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
Ability to design and implement accounting processes and internal controls
