An opportunity has become available for a Head of Fraud Controls & Fraud Regulatory Compliance on behalf of a leading financial institution. This executive-level role calls for a driven individual to shape and lead the fraud governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance agenda across the organisation’s fraud solutions portfolio.

This is a high-impact position for a professional who thrives on influence, leadership, and delivering effective risk frameworks within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Duties:

• Lead the design and implementation of fraud risk management and compliance frameworks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group Risk, ERM, and industry regulations
• Oversee assurance reviews, including targeted management control assessments
• Guide the development and application of quality assurance and process testing standards
• Monitor fraud risk control registers, and drive remedial action on high-risk areas
• Act as primary liaison with data privacy (POPIA), BCM, and risk functions across the group
• Deliver detailed risk reporting, reconciliation of losses, and ensure alignment with risk appetite thresholds
• Provide strategic leadership on financial planning and cost efficiencies across the function
• Drive a culture of risk accountability and positive compliance behaviours across fraud teams
• Influence and contribute to fraud-related policy development, while ensuring audit readiness

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, or Risk Management (essential)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in fraud risk management, regulatory compliance, or operational risk (with leadership exposure)
• Proven experience in enterprise risk frameworks, quality assurance, and internal controls
• Strong stakeholder management, project execution and policy development capabilities
• Ability to influence, lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic outcomes
• Sound knowledge of regulatory standards including POPIA and disaster recovery protocols
