SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of HR to lead and deliver a senior-level Human Resource Management function that supports strategic business goals.

POSITION INFO:

The role requires a forward-thinking leader who can align HR strategy with organisational objectives while fostering an engaging, high-performance culture. This is a critical leadership role for an HR professional who thrives on driving capability, engagement, and business-aligned people solutions.

Due to our clients'' Equity Plan, preference will be given to Equity Candidates.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, BCom HR, or Industrial Psychology (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
6–8 years’ senior HR management experience, ideally within retail, FMCG, or multi-outlet industries.
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and proven experience in Industrial Relations.
Demonstrated capability in strategic HR leadership, coaching, change management, and project delivery.

Competencies

Proven ability to grow and inspire people; high EQ and interpersonal influence.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation.
Resilient, innovative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments.
Technology-savvy, with exposure to HRIS and current AI-driven HR practices.
