Head of Pricing - Group Risk – Actuary

SUMMARY:
Our client a dynamic Life Assurer specialising in Group Risk, North seeks to employ a qualified Actuary to head the risk and actuarial team providing technical support to the business in terms of pricing and product design, client engagement and risk management. The growth of the business has necessitated the strengthening of the team.

POSITION INFO:

KEY OUTPUTS :

The role is multi-national with the following key deliverables -

• Theoretical product pricing models and review thereof
• Expert on product and associated terms and conditions
• Review of policy terms and conditions from risk management viewpoint
• Research into mortality and morbidity trends that impact the group risk market
• Engagement with reinsurers on ratings and product decisions
• Primary contact point with multinational clients and international pooling partner on pricing and product
• Engagement with Business Development and key clients and brokers for large and complex quotations
• Ownership of quotations models
• Support on strategic business initiatives as determined by business strategy
• Reporting to the business on new business and renewals

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• A qualified Actuary with at least 4 years PQE.
• Group risk experience ideal or life office experience essential
• Good technical experience essential
• Planning and organising skills
• Problem solving skills
• Incumbent will provide guidance to a small team of professionals
