JOB SUMMARY:
Do you have your HR qualification with three years plus experience managing the human resource service, recruitment, employee relations, payroll & benefits administration and assisting with compliance, learning and development.
 
Our client, an NGO based in Observatory in Cape Town requires your caring and attentive attitude to be accountable for the operational day-to-day running of HR administration tasks promoting an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric, Degree/ 3-year diploma qualification in Human Resources or related area
  • 3 years plus work experience in a generalist Human Resources role
  • Experience working in a non-profit organisation and basic knowledge of Immigration regulations advantageous
  • Strong understanding and knowledge - LRA, BCEA, EE, SDA, OHS and POPI, and their application thereof
  • Solid recruitment and selection experience within an equal opportunities’ framework
  • Self-motivated with high energy levels & ability to deal with confidential and information
  • Experience maintaining an HR Management Information System & basic knowledge of Employee Assistance Programmes
  • Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills and ability to take initiative
  • Prioritise, committed, motivated and able to achieve tasks in required time frame
  • Comfortable with diversity, dedication to social justice and promoting health and social change
  • Operate in an environment of cultural diversity, build and sustain a culture that enables critical reflection, transparency, dignity, mutual recognition and support


DUTIES

  • HR Strategies and Administration, contribute to the implementation of annual HR workplans
  • Actively participate in the diversity, equity & inclusion activities
  • Manage payroll processing staff benefits, addition of new hires, terminations
  • Participate in on boarding and exit interviews processes
  • Manage staff exit processes, compile confidential report and share with the Senior HR
  • Recruitment and Selection, coordinate and manage all aspects of the recruitment
  • Participate in interviews as required
  • Performance management, provide advice and support on performance related issues
  • Contribute to a team culture that values collaboration internally, cross functionally and in partnership with other functions
  • Administer rewards programmes
  • Arrange staff wellness days/ participate in staff engagement initiatives
  • Participate in internal disciplinary processes and procedures including CCMA preparations
  • Arrange disciplinary processes, capture all disciplinary records on Payspace
  • Source training service providers as per the needs of the organisation
  • Prepare and submit information to SETA as necessary
  • Optimise relevant HR processes and systems (Payspace)
  • Manage any other allocated by the Senior HR Manager
  • Value Practice, commitment to develop, promote and practice companies’ vision, mission, values and strategy

Salary: R negotiable, dependent on experience
