Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
You will support the Internal Audit function in delivering a comprehensive audit programme, ensuring that internal controls are effective, risks are managed, and compliance frameworks are upheld. This role offers exceptional exposure across the business and will accelerate your development into a well-rounded audit professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Internal Audit Manager and Senior Internal Auditor in executing the audit plan
• Perform risk assessments and assist in audit planning
• Draft audit scope documents and internal audit programmes
• Gather and analyse data to ensure audits are risk-based and value-adding
• Conduct sample testing and evaluate control effectiveness
• Assist in managing and guiding junior team members
• Compile detailed, factual audit reports identifying root causes and practical solutions
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations
• Track audit findings and monitor management’s progress on corrective actions
• Assist with Internal Audit Committee reporting packs
• Participate in ad-hoc investigations, stock takes, and special projects
• Provide general administrative and reporting support to the audit function

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Degree (NQF Level 7) – essential
• BCom Honours – advantageous
• Internal Auditing as a subject in your qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in internal audit
• Strong understanding of IPPF / Internal Audit Standards
• Experience in a manufacturing, stock-heavy, or FMCG environment highly advantageous
