Our client is a dynamic and well-established Clearing & Forwarding company in Durban that is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to play a key role in growing and strengthening their client base.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to manage a list of accounts. We're looking for a driven, confident and commercially hungry relationship-builder who enjoys being out in the market, connecting with clients, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into business.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Managing and growing a portfolio of key clients within the freight and logistics industry Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase revenue Actively seeking out new business opportunities and generating leads Conducting client visits and face-to-face meetings Understanding clients' logistics requirements and providing tailored solutions Preparing and presenting quotations and proposals Working closely with the operations, clearing and forwarding teams to ensure excellent service delivery Monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving any service-related issues Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activity and industry developments Achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets Maintaining accurate CRM and sales activity records Requirements: Previous experience in freight forwarding, clearing, logistics or a related industry Proven experience in Key Account Management, Business Development or Freight Sales A strong understanding of import, export and freight forwarding processes A confident and engaging personality High energy, positive attitude and strong work ethic Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong relationship-building abilities Commercially minded with a genuine drive to grow business Target-driven and motivated by achieving results Professional and confident when dealing with clients at all levels Strong problem-solving and customer service skills A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to clients In sending your CV, you confirm that you have read and understood our POPI Policy found on our website Should you be unsuccessful for this particular position, you have no objection to us retaining your personal information in our database which you confirm is true, correct and up to date.
