Senior Key Account Manager

Our client, a leading courier company, is seeking a dynamic Senior Key Account Manager to manage and grow key client relationships at an executive level. POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers and support staff to drive high performance and professional growth. Delegate responsibilities effectively while ensuring performance standards and service expectations are consistently achieved. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture centred on continuous improvement and value creation. Take full ownership of account performance, including revenue growth, profitability and service delivery. Develop and implement strategic account plans to identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling and upselling. Ensure the consistent delivery of agreed contractual obligations, key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery and a consistent client experience. Oversee the end-to-end customer journey, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and resolve operational gaps. Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with client objectives and priorities. Serve as the primary relationship manager and senior escalation point for key strategic accounts. Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives and other key decision-makers. Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives, challenges and long-term strategy to provide value-added solutions. Drive client satisfaction, retention and long-term account growth through a proactive and consultative approach. Prepare and present executive-level reports on account performance, business opportunities and potential risks. Utilise data and business insights to support strategic decision-making and strengthen client relationships. Proactively identify, escalate and mitigate risks that may impact customer satisfaction or business performance. Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, including executive business reviews, performance reporting and strategic planning sessions. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as a Senior Account Manager or in a similar managerial role. Proficient in the MS Office Suite. Previous experience within the courier or logistics industry is preferred. Strong strategic thinking with excellent commercial acumen. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels. Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
