Management accountant Cost and Management accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Corporate and listed company in the Finance and IT industry based in Rosebank seeks urgently a management accountant to join their team .Must have experience in stock recons /receipting etc

EE - Employment Equity appointment

Qualifications

Matric
BCom Accountancy/CIMA or equivalent or in the process of completing such.

The successful applicant must have:

Must have stock count /receipting and reconciling of stock experience - Not negotiable
Experience in managing staff would be nice to have
Interaction with other departments.
Have a good understanding of accounting principles.
Experience with intercompany transactions.
ACCPAC/Sage 300 experience preferable but not essential.
Knowledge of accounting controls and procedures.
Knowledge of relevant taxes (VAT, Customs Duty).
Ability to work under pressure, willingness to work overtime.

Responsible :

Receipting of stock on ACCPAC/Sage 300.
Calculate and apportion transport costs.
Creation of stock/item codes.
Opening of new customer accounts.
Create BOM.
Process monthly intercompany invoices.
Monthly stock transfers.
Quarterly stock count and reconciliations - all provinces.
Other month end duties, for example investigate and clear items in stock clearing accounts.
