JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a responsible candidate who will be working closely with the management of production costs. The candidate will be reporting directly to the Plant Finance manager and tasks could include standard cost allocations and variance analysis for production orders including metal to other material costs, budgeting and forecasting for variations in the plant. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Developing and maintaining core relationships with Plant Management team and Sector team Stakeholders and that are involved in the Plant Management accounting processes and providing support to the development and adherence to local accounting policies and procedures.
Preparing Ad Hoc financial analysis which with tactical and strategic decision-making in the process optimization that will support Plant Management team.
Working closely with the plant finance manager and operations manager
Create working relationships with the plant teams specifically plant financial accountant/ internal compliance
Be open to change and continuously seek improvement of the plant’s insights and decision support processes such as implementation of new technologies, standard processes, process automation and productivity improvements

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (grade 12)
Desired university qualification in Accounting
Honours in BCom
CA (SA)

Experience:

Must have experience in financial cost management and analysis
Desirable experience in the chemicals/automotive industry
Considerable experience within the Finance Function preferably in the manufacturing environment

Skills & Competencies:

Must have knowledge in Financial Control and Systems
Be able to interact and influence a diverse group of people who are not part of finance
Sound Accounting, processes and reporting skills
Have some knowledge with regards to tax compliance and management
