Purpose of the Role

To provide administrative and front-line communication support to the Master Data and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams. This includes consolidating material take-on requests, verifying new master data records, and managing attribute amendments across multiple systems and modules.

Requirements

• Education: B.Com (Financial Accounting or Informatics) or a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in an SAP master data environment or a similar integrated systems environment.
• Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with business processes across 2–3 functions (e.g., inventory management, financial accounting, quality control, or data reporting).
• Systems: Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is a prerequisite.
• Analytical: Strong numeracy and analytical thinking for identifying data discrepancies.
• Communication: Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear verbal/written support.
• Behavioural: Detail-oriented, proactive, able to work independently, and capable of prioritizing tasks under deadline pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Maintenance: Cleanse and test the accuracy of requests for new materials (spares, consumables, medication, packaging, etc.) through stakeholder communication.
• System Support: Update master data attributes as authorized and participate in new system implementations or enhancements.
• Verification: Perform independent validation of data take-on and amendments to ensure they meet naming conventions and standards.
• Reporting: Run technical reports, format data, and review for duplications to maintain data integrity.
• GRC Support: Assist with the maintenance of GRC exception reports and "firefighter" role reviews.
• Process Improvement: Propose and implement ways to improve housekeeping and master data maintenance.
