Job & Company Description:

A market leader in platinum mining is looking for a well-rounded and experienced Group Head: Ventilation to assist them with managing their ventilation and refrigeration necessities across their organisation in Johannesburg. This JSE listed company aims to be the best platinum producer in the world and they need an individual that can manage the maintenance of their ventilation requirements.

Education:

BEng/BSc/BTech/Higher National Diploma in Mining
Member of the SAIOH or MVSSA (advantageous)
Chamber of Mine’s Certificate in Mine Environment Control

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Must have at least 10 years of overall career experience in underground platinum mining
Must have at least 5 years of experience in a management position
Must have knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Must have knowledge of ventilation modelling and air velocities
Must have fire prevention, ventilation and occupational hygiene knowledge
