JOB SUMMARY:
Do you have a BSc Horticulture degree or similar qualification, with 5 years’ experience in nurseries management and at least 3 years’ experience in business management, thorough knowledge of avocado cultivation and familiar with MS Office (Word and Excel) and Microsoft D365?

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client is a leading multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related products to international markets and is today the largest global supplier of avocados, operating over 5 continents and in 16 countries, is searching for a skilled Operations Manager to join their team in Tzaneen to be responsible for managing their avocado nurseries to exceed customer expectations and maximize returns for the company, lead the nursery team in driving a process of continuous improvement and adopting superior propagation techniques while establishing a supply of quality plant material that will meet the requirements of an expanding operation.

Minimum qualification requirements and skills:

BSc Horticulture or similar qualification.
5 years’ experience in nurseries management and at least 3 years’ experience in business management
Valid driver’s license and own transport

Knowledge

Thorough knowledge of Business Management
Knowledge of nursery or plant production processes
Thorough knowledge of plant pathology
