Plant and Equipment Rental Manager

SUMMARY:
Based in Benoni and reporting to the Project Manager

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Interface with customers to determine their equipment rental needs
• Direct and coordinate activities of establishment engaged in renting or leasing machinery, tools and equipment
• Prepare rental or lease agreement, specifying charges and payment procedures, for use of machinery, tools, or equipment
• Maintain tool and equipment database
• Ensure the periodic maintenance of equipment and tools
• Ensure that tools and equipment are calibrated accordingly
• Inventory control and ordering of supplies and or required equipment and tool parts
• Schedule and coordinate delivery and return of rental equipment.
• Maintain the appearance, organization and functionality of all equipment including pre and post repairs
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
• Assisting in updating of social media outlooks
• Assist in development and implementation of marketing plan & marketing material
• Add, achieving sales and profit targets
• Manage the employees in the Equipment Rental Business

Requirements:

• Standard 10 (Grade 12) Certificate
• Technical/ Finance/ Marketing Diploma
• 5 years in plant and equipment rental business
• 3 years managerial experience
• Extensive experience in development of customer relations at management level
