Programme Manager

The Programme Manager will be managing large transformation programmes. This role requires the individual to have the knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep in a digital environment. The individual must be an all-rounder with experience in project and programme management. The individual must have experience in multiple types of programmes, including technical, business, and specifically large transformation programmes in digital. The individual needs an ability to share and communicate status, risks, and updates clearly, both orally and in writing, and work as a bridge between project teams and the stakeholders.

Job Objectives

Manage large programmes delivery successfully.

Manage large-sized project teams.

Manage finances associated with programme delivery and deliver on targets.

Actively participate and manage all aspects of program delivery.

Facilitate and lead team problem-solving and resolution efforts.

Lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams and take full ownership of the quality of the project delivery.

Liaise with teams at all levels of the organisation.

Have Retail industry knowledge and thought leadership for programme & transformation management.

Understand and interpret complex business challenges

Conceive innovative solutions.

Think independently and creatively when formulating solutions

Be recognised as an expert in programme management

Manage all aspects of the programme, including risk, decisions, issues, quality, stakeholder management, scope, planning, and reporting.

Must be able to deliver a programme independent of the mythology followed (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

Be able to build and sustain professional relationships.

Actively collaborate with colleagues in solving unique business challenges.

Build effective relationships with team members that you lead.

Ability to share and communicate status, risks, and updates clearly, both orally and in writing, and work as a bridge between project teams and the stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (3 years)/Advanced Diploma / NQF level 7 (IT, Information Systems, and Computer Science)

Professional Registration: Project Management Professional (PMP)

Experience

Experience in Project and Programme Management (10 - 15 years+)

Background in ICT and large transformational projects and programs in digital.

Benefits realisation management Exposure to working on SAP implementations (Advantageous)

Knowledge and Skills

Detailed practical knowledge of project and program management methodologies, tools, and techniques with in-depth knowledge of methodology Management of projects and programs within a large corporate environment.

Additional Information for Agencies

12 months contract position. R900-1200 per hour to contractor. Please breakdown the total billable rate.

What we are looking for is someone with Retail knowledge and experience and someone who has done multiple complex program & project Implementations for Digital Business Unit. The profile should be someone that is familiar with program and projects in a digital environment.
