Project Leader: Reservoir Refurbishment Projects
Contract duration: 12 months

The Project Leader will serve as the primary client-facing and site-facing representative for our client, driving the successful execution of structural, mechanical, and civil works for bulk water storage reservoir refurbishments. The successful candidate will comprehensively manage the project life cycle by overseeing program timelines, quality standards, costs, health and safety, and contract administration.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: B-Tech (Civil Engineering) or BEng (Civil Engineering) or BSc (Civil Engineering) or an equivalent qualification accredited\/recognized by the relevant South African professional council A minimum of 15-17 years' post-qualification experience in civil engineering project\/construction management, with demonstrable progression into a project leadership role At least one completed project, served in the role of Project Leader, comprising water and sewer pipeline construction, road construction, and earthworks At least one completed project administered under NEC3 or NEC4 (any NEC3\/4 contract form, e.g. ECC), served in a project leadership or contract-administration role At least one completed project administered under GCC 2010 or GCC 2015, served in a project leadership or contract-administration role Direct reservoir refurbishment or rehabilitation experience is preferred (confirmed as a preference, not a mandatory minimum) PrCPM - Professional Construction Project Manager, registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP), established under the Project and Construction Management Professions Act, 2000 (Act No. 48 of 2000). Registration and renewal are administered via sacpcmp.org.za PrCM - Professional Construction Manager, registered with SACPCMP under the same Act and administered via the same portal (sacpcmp.org.za) PMP - Project Management Professional certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI), current and in good standing (subject to PMI's continuing certification requirements). International certification - administered via pmi.org, not a South African statutory registration.
