Project Management Office Director

SUMMARY:
An established multinational organisation is seeking an accomplished Project Management Office Director to establish and lead its enterprise PMO.
This senior leadership role will be responsible for translating business strategy into executable programmes, strengthening project governance and overseeing a portfolio of strategic initiatives across the organisation.
The successful candidate will provide portfolio oversight and programme leadership while driving transformation, operational excellence, market expansion, strategic partnerships and business integration.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Establish and lead the enterprise Project Management Office. Lead the portfolio of strategic initiatives across the organisation. Translate business strategy into clearly defined and executable programmes. Partner with executive leadership to prioritise strategic investments. Develop PMO governance frameworks, standards and methodologies. Implement stage-gate governance and executive-reporting processes. Monitor programme performance, budgets, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation. Lead strategic programmes relating to transformation, market expansion and operational excellence. Oversee digital, automation and AI-enabled project-delivery initiatives. Coordinate strategic partnerships and monitor value delivery. Support due diligence, acquisition integration and Day 1 readiness. Develop integration roadmaps and monitor synergy delivery. Optimise project resources and support investment business cases. Strengthen stakeholder engagement, communication and change readiness. Lead and develop a high-performing PMO team. Build enterprise-wide project and programme-management capability. Foster a culture of accountability and execution excellence. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related field is essential. An MBA or relevant master's degree would be advantageous. PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, MSP or an equivalent certification is required. Experience Between 12 and 15 years' experience in programme, portfolio or PMO leadership. Proven experience leading complex strategic-transformation programmes. Experience managing enterprise project portfolios. Experience supporting strategic partnerships and acquisition integration. Experience within the FMCG, retail, food-service or franchise sector.
