EXPAT Opportunity. A well-established manufacturing and construction-related organisation based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Purchase Lead to take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities and ensure the timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment and services.

Expatriate Opportunity | Senior Staff Level A well-established manufacturing and construction-related organisation based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Purchase Lead to take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities and ensure the timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment and services. ROLE OVERVIEW Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Purchase Lead will manage the full purchasing cycle, from reviewing approved requisitions and obtaining quotations through to supplier negotiation, Purchase Order placement and delivery follow-up. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage day-to-day purchasing requirements and approved Purchase Requisitions. Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations and make purchasing recommendations. Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers. Prepare, issue and follow up Purchase Orders. Coordinate procurement requirements with Production, Projects, Maintenance and Stores. Proactively monitor outstanding orders and address potential supply delays. Develop supplier relationships and identify alternative suppliers. Monitor supplier pricing, performance, quality and delivery. Assist with supply agreements, cost-saving initiatives and procurement reporting. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and quotation comparisons. Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procedures and ethical procurement standards. INHERENT REQUIREMENTS Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction or a related field preferred. 8 plus years'''' relevant purchasing\/procurement experience, preferably within precast concrete, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry. Strong supplier negotiation and commercial evaluation skills. Experience with ERP purchasing systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong organisational, follow-up and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently, take accountability and perform effectively under pressure. Excellent communication and supplier-management skills.
