Reporting Accountant

SUMMARY:
An established FMCG manufacturer is seeking an immediately available Reporting Accountant to join its established finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting across multiple business units within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO:
Based at the corporate offices in Johannesburg East, this role forms part of a forward-thinking finance division that partners closely with operational and commercial teams. The successful incumbent will be responsible for group consolidations, financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards, while supporting the broader business through detailed analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform group consolidations and ensure accuracy across multiple entities.
• Manage month-end close processes, journals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal reporting requirements.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to Auditor queries.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and refine reporting tools, templates, and dashboards for leadership insight.

• BCom Accounting / Finance Degree (Completed SAICA articles or CIMA advantageous).
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in financial or reporting accounting within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong technical understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (SAP / Syspro advantageous).
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and deadline management skills.
